Complete a full upgrade to SpEdDoc 10.0 from an earlier SpEdDoc version and begin using the enclosed updated Transfer file.

The SpEdDoc 8.3 version:
• changes the old IEP shading scheme to improve performance speed.
• Adds a Type field to the IEP Transition Courses to distinguish between MYP and specialized courses.
• Improves the file Transfer process when importing records with the case manager identity intact (useful for SU's that consolidate data from multiple databases).
• Fixes a situation where, in rare instances, a name may appear instead of the Draft flag on IEP's.

SpEdDoc 8.2 was posted on November 12 for download from the Software page.

SpEdDoc 8.2 is compliant with the soon to be released DOE child count application.
This update incorporates a quick way to replace the old NECAP accommodations with those recently released by the DOE:
• Update to the SpEdDoc 8.2.
• Put the NECAP_R2009 file, distributed in the SpEdDoc Folder in the upgrade package, in the SpEdDoc Folder on your computer (same location as the Transfer file).
• Log into SpEdDoc, navigate to the Accommodations Bank (IEP > Services > Accommodations > Open Accom. Bank button).
• Control-Shift Click on the Import button to replace the NECAP accommodations.

SpEdDoc 8.1a was posted today. The new version includes a quick way to replace the NECAP accommodations with those recently released by the DOE. It also includes a mechanism to Transfer data with the CM identity intact.
Complete an interface upgrade from SpEdDoc 8.1 or a full upgrade from an earlier SpEdDoc version. Also distribute the new Transfer file to personnel responsible for the Transfer process.

SpEdDoc 8.1 was posted today. The new version includes changes to the Vermont special education forms (IEP Revision) and the Medicaid forms (IEP and Evaluation billing forms).

SpEdDoc 7.4 was posted today. Complete a full upgrade from any earlier SpEdDoc version and distribute the new Transfer file to personnel responsible for the Transfer process.
Some highlights:
• A new back button that allows users to navigate backwards (and forwards) similar to a browser, tracing user history in the current session (requires FileMaker 8.5 or newer).
• SpEdDoc navigation buttons moved to the left hand column (this frees up the area above layouts for FileMaker menus and toolbars).
• FileMaker menu items that were previously greyed out are now available to users.
• Further expansion of Preferences to customize the way SpEdDoc works for your organization. Refer to the latest edition of the illustrated SpEdDoc 7 Administration Guide available for download under the Software link.

SpEdDoc 7.3 was posted today. Complete a full upgrade from any earlier SpEdDoc version and distribute the new Transfer file to personnel responsible for the Transfer process.
This version contains the new Vermont DOE Form 6a, "Revocation of Consent for Provision of Special Education Services."
Additionally, SpEdDoc 7.3 features:
• A new IEP Status list (accessed from Student and IEP Main Menus). Use IEP Status to determine that some required fields have been entered in IEP's.
• A new Find Student screen in IEP and other documents to conduct customized finds that include fields from Student and the current area. See the new SpEdDoc 7 Find Guide for details (download under the Software link at www.speddoc.org).

SpEdDoc 7.2 was posted today. Complete a full upgrade from any earlier SpEdDoc version.
This version contains specifications corresponding with the new Vermont DOE child count application, including a new popup choice for DD Domain (Other Qualifying Reasons).
Additionally, SpEdDoc 7.2 includes:
• Updated Medicaid diagnostic codes.
• Expanded Preferences (can now prevent User account from created new student records).
• Option to print Meeting Notice as a PDF.
• Improved record combining feature on Status layout.

SpEdDoc 7.1b was posted today. Complete a full upgrade from any SpEdDoc version earlier than SpEdDoc version 7.1. If you already run SpEdDoc 7.1, then simply do an interface upgrade. Follow directions in the upgrade guide. SpEdDoc 7.1a and b includes the following:

• Generate PDFs from an IEP or Evaluation Report with a click of a button (requires FM 9).
• Student Find offers option to include or exclude archived records from search results.
• VDC Export button on Student Main Menu allows export of child count data at any time of the year (e.g., to interface with Student Information Systems).
• Fixed an issue that caused the top section of the Accommodations page to print twice.
• Fixed an issue creating duplicate rubric rows when importing from the Rubric bank.

SpEdDoc 7.02a was released today. This update incorporates fields on Medicaid logs required for electronic billing. The update is not necessary if your organization does not use the SpEdDoc electronic billing process. If you already have installed SpEdDoc 7.02, follow directions in the upgrade guide for an interface update. Complete a full upgrade from an earlier version of SpEdDoc 6 or 7.

On August 25, the VCSEA and PAAGE goal banks were released. These sets combined include over 1200 goals and objectives linked to Vermont's grade expectations and alternate grade expectations. If you have an older version of these sets, delete the older sets before importing to avoid duplication.

SpEdDoc 7.02, released today, fixed an issue that prevented creation of Section 504 Meeting Notices.

SpEdDoc 7.01, containing the DOE's special education forms (as issued by the DOE on August 18) and Medicaid forms for the 2008-2009 school year, was released today.
This release fixes a bug in SpEdDoc 7.0 that prevented the "user" account from accessing the 504 Meeting form.

SpEdDoc 6.2, released today, is a Full Upgrade (be sure to upgrade all the files). It contains everything from the earlier SpEdDoc 6 releases, including the Vermont DOE's current special education and Medicaid forms (Medicaid forms released August 17 and 22, Medicaid diagnostic codes released November 6, and special education forms released August 20 and 28, September 7 and October 29). The Evaluation Plan and Report form is reordered to provide more flexibility for printing DD and AE pages and users can now deselect AE questions that they don't want to appear on the printed form. Download the Self Review Guide for information on the new Goal Progress Report (used to gather information required for the DOE's AYP report and for local self-monitoring efforts).

SpEdDoc 6.0d, released today, contains the Vermont DOE's new forms. It contains everything in the earlier SpEdDoc 6.0 releases, including the Vermont DOE's latest special education and Medicaid forms (Medicaid forms released August 17 and 22 and special education forms released August 20 and 28 and September 7). This update is necessary because it includes newly-revised state-mandated forms. The DOE's September 7 revision impacts the IEP Services Narrative section. This version also corrects the Medicaid Release of Information for 18-Year-Old form (removing the word "child's" from the first paragraph).

SpEdDoc 6.0c, released today, contains the Vermont DOE's new forms. It contains everything in the earlier SpEdDoc 6.0 releases, including the Vermont DOE's latest special education and Medicaid forms (Medicaid forms released August 17 and 22 and special education forms released August 20 and 28). This update is necessary because it includes newly-revised state-mandated forms. The DOE's August 28 revisions impact the IEP Transition and Accommodations sections as well as the Consent for Initial Provision of Special Education Services form.

SpEdDoc 6.0b, released on August 25, 2007, contains the Vermont DOE's new forms. It includes everything in the SpEdDoc 6.0 release, plus an updated Transfer process (needed to transfer selected student records between SpEdDoc 6 databases within or between supervisory unions).

SpEdDoc 6.0a, released on August 23, 2007, contains the Vermont DOE's new forms. It includes everything in the SpEdDoc 6.0 release, plus two revised forms: the Medicaid LOC was revised to include a second IEP Initiation Date field (missing from the form in the initial release) and the Medicaid Physician Letter form was revised to match the form released by the DOE on August 22.

SpEdDoc 6.0, containing the DOE's special education and Medicaid forms for the 2007-2008 school year, was released today. This release includes revised Medicaid forms released by the DOE on August 17 as well as those released earlier. Also download the SpEdDoc 6 Manual and the SpEdDoc 6 Medicaid Guide for instructions.

SpEdDoc 5.2 incorporates all update for the current school year. A full upgrade is required from any past version (download upgrade guide for details).

SpEdDoc 5.1d includes the updated 2007 June export feature based on anticipated DOE specifications. If you are currently running SpEdDoc 5.1c, then this upgrade only requires replacing the SpEdDoc file. If you are currently running an older version, then a full upgrade is required (download upgrade guide for details).

SpEdDoc 5.1c was released today. It contains a variety of improvements to the SpEdDoc 5.1 version that was released in October, including improved Transfer file functionality, a local ID field on Main Data, full preservation of original IEP's during duplication, and an updated Student Data Page.

SpEdDoc 5.1 was released today. It includes the 2006 child count specifications, so can be used to prepare for the December 1 collection. Refer to the Child Count 2006 Guide.pdf for details. This version also includes a feature to archive individual or multiple students (see Archive Student Records.pdf). The archive feature hides student records during daily use but provides a quick way to reactivate the records when needed.

SpEdDoc 5.0d was released today. It contains adjustments to Form 7 and to the Medicaid DAT and Release of Information forms to align with state requirements. It also contains revised evaluation disability determination questions to align with the revised state regulations.

SpEdDoc 5.0b was released on September 4. It contains some minor bug fixes to the initial release. SpEdDoc 5.0 contains new DOE forms, but use SpEdDoc 5.0b if you haven't already upgraded from last year's version.

One day after the Vermont DOE released the final version of the new special education forms, SpEdDoc 5.0 was posted on this web site for distribution. The new version includes the updates issue by the DOE this summer up to August 25. If the DOE continues to revise its forms, changes will be incorporated into future updates.
The SpEdDoc 5 Manual and other documents have been updated, so download the latest in order to take full advantage of SpEdDoc features.
